Former Gatorade Player of the Year and Rich Mountain Buck, Jackson Wells, currently sits at second on the ERA leaderboards for all qualifying pitchers in the NCAA Division I.
Wells holds a 1.71 ERA through 84 innings pitched in 14 appearances. Wells has allowed only 16 earned runs through the season thus far, while striking out 73 batters.
After being named the Arkansas Gatorade Player of the Year his senior year of high school, Wells spent his freshman season with the Rich Mountain Bucks before transferring to the University of Arkansas Little Rock. Wells is in his sophomore year of college in his first season with the Trojans.
Wells is behind only Hudson Barrett of UC Santa Barbara who holds a 1.58 ERA.
