Local softball teams victorious on Tuesday

The Acorn Lady Tigers took on Westside Johnson County on Monday at Cummings-Cecil Field, home of the Rich Mountain Bucks. Acorn dominated the Rebels by a final of 13-2.

Also on Monday, Cossatot River hosted the Lady Outlaws at Dierks. The Lady Eagles were defeated 13-1.

All three local high school softball teams were in competition on Tuesday afternoon.

Acorn traveled to Mountainburg and defeated the Lady Dragons 11-1. The Lady Eagles of Cossatot River hosted Cedarville and took down the Lady Pirates 18-8, and the Mena Ladycats traveled to Mansfield and handed the Lady Tigers a 10-1 loss.

Cossatot River is set to travel to Hackett on Thursday. The Acorn Lady Tigers are scheduled to host Mount Ida on Friday. And the Mena Ladycats will be back on the diamond on March 27 hosting the Hackett Lady Hornets.
