Badges celebrate a "three-peat"

The Badges won the Mena Boots & Badges Community Challenge Blood Drive for the third year running on Monday, June 24, 2019. Sheriff Scott Sawyer announced, “It’s official. The Badges pulled off the Threepeat.” 

169 people reportedly participated in the Boots & Badges Community Challenge. Law Enforcement had 86 participate and the Firefighters had 76 participants. 

Sawyer stated, “I’d like to thank everyone that helped out and of course all of the donors. It doesn’t matter what side you supported, this was a community effort and it was a huge success.” 

Blood donors received a limited-edition Boots & Badges T-shirt and a free admittance into Magic Springs. The event was co-sponsored by University of Arkansas-Rich Mountain.
