The search continues for Chad Voelkel, his wife Stephanie, and their four children according to Polk County Sheriff Scott Sawyer.
Assisting local agencies in the search are the U.S. Marshal’s Service, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the Department of Human Services and private organizations.
Voelkel was scheduled for a May 23 trial in regard to his January 3rd arrest for four counts of rape with a minor.
Polk County Prosecuting Attorney Andy Riner filed a motion to have the case sealed. Authorities discovered Voelkel, wife Stephanie and four of their six children left Arkansas on or before the May 23 trial date.
The remaining two children who were considered at risk were removed from the home by the Department of Human Services.
Sawyer believes the children are in danger. Soon after his arrest, Voelkel posted a $50,000 bond, and had five months to plan the escape.
The children range in age from 4-16.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office needs your help finding four missing and endangered children and their parents, who are wanted on charges. Voelkel faces a felony Failure to Appear charge, and Stephanie faces a felony Permitting Abuse of a Minor charge.
