Cheers of Aurora

CHEERS FOR AURORA - Acorn Tiger cheerleaders surround Aurora Pitman on the evening of Tuesday, Nov. 5 as a packed-out gymnasium cheered the for the honorary cheerleader. Aurora, age 6, was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy soon after birth and at the request of her mom and dad, Neva and Charles, Aurora was able to be a cheerleader for the night. “Aurora was going to get to cheer at Acorn’s homecoming game later in the month, but she has surgery scheduled so she was able to be a part of Tuesday night’s half-time show,” shared Charles.  Fundraising efforts are still on-going in assisting the family with medical expenses. Additional information may be found on the Cheers for Aurora Facebook page including an account set up at the Union Bank of Mena.
