To show the community love this Valentines Day, Doctors with a Heart will be offering dental work and chiropractic laser therapy for free.

Diane Marosy, D.D.S., F.A.G.D. at Dallas Avenue Dental, which is sponsoring the event, said she hopes to return the love the community has shown her.

“I’ve been here 25 years and this community has been exceptional to me,” she said. “I want to pay it forward and return the favor.”

Marosy has made herself available to perform extractions, fillings, cleanings and other dental procedures for no charge.

To obtain dental services during Doctors with a Heart, interested persons should sign up at Dallas Avenue Dental, located at 400 Pine Ave., by Thursday, Feb. 1. and return paperwork to Dallas Ave. Dental by Thursday, Feb. 8.

“This is open to everyone and anyone,” Marosy explained. “Especially those who do not have insurance or who experience hardships in obtaining dental care.”

Marosy said she is donating her time, because she cares about people in the community and wants to help them be healthy.

“Dental care affects a person’s entire health,” she explained. “Many cancers can be found first in the oral cavity. Heart disease is linked to the same bacterias as gum diseases, and an abscess tooth can kill a person.”

Mena Spine and Rehab Clinic will also be participating in Doctors with a Heart, by offering laser therapy free of charge. Sign up to obtain services from Mena Spine and Rehab during Doctors with a Heart, at Dallas Avenue Dental before Thursday, Feb. 1. During the event on Friday, Feb. 16, expect to fill out a consent form and have a brief visit with the doctor before receiving a two to five minute treatment.

Procedures will take place Friday, Feb. 16 and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

“We hope we have an overwhelming response to Doctors with a Heart,” Marosy said. “We want to serve others the way we have been served.”
