“We have begun the process of closing the Mena Stage store and by summer of 2020, the conversion will be completed to Gordmans,” said Heather Henderson, store manager.

In a recent announcement, Stage Stores Inc. shared the company would shift its stores to an off-price model. Stage Stores currently operates more than 620 stores under the names of Bealls, Goody’s, Palais Royal, Peebles, and Stage Department stores. Approximately 160 stores are currently being operated at Gordmans and by the third quarter of the third fiscal of 2020, a projection of 700 Gordmans will be in existence.

A closure of 40 Stage Stores have been forecasted, but the Mena store will be closed simply for the conversion and will remain at its current location.

“Gordmans is comparable to a T.J. Maxx, Home Goods and Ross stores. It will be a different selection, that our current Stage store offers, but our customers will still have great customer service from our team as well as a variety of new products to select during their shopping experience.  Moving forward, we wil lstill have our Thanksgiving Day sale and Black Friday deals as well as contineud sales on our stocked items.,” concluded Henderson.
