Friendship Community Care (FCC) of Russellville, AR has announced the addition of Christy Plunkett of Mena to their board of directors. Plunkett was confirmed at the September board meeting.

FCC is a non-profit organization serving children and adults throughout Arkansas with disabilities and complex support needs. Friendship provides services in over 50 counties in Arkansas serving over 2000 individuals.

CEO Craig Cloud stated “Friendship is delighted to have an individual with Christy’s experience and knowledge on our board. She will bring a keen sense of special needs experience to our organization that will continue to drive our mission for quality services to those we serve.”

Plunkett is a long time special needs advocate and is especially involved in Autism Awareness issues locally and throughout the state. She is also a special needs parent. Plunkett has previously served on the Governor’s Task Force on Autism and as a board member of Polk County Developmental Center.
