With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, Cupid’s arrow has found a mark.

Sheila Taylor, owner of Jusjunkn’s, enjoys providing   decor, props and wares for couples tying the knot. Taylor is also passionate about supporting local business.

She recently married the ideas and from the union a new event marketed to those soon to be committed in matrimony was born.

A Bridal Extravaganza will be held Saturday, Feb. 17 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at 816 De Queen Street in Mena.

“This building, most know it as the old Front Porch building, belonged to my parents ,” Taylor explained. “So putting together the first bridal show in a place that honors my parents is very special to me.”

Taylor chose to hold the event Valentine’s Day weekend in honor of the love couples getting married have for one another. She chose to plan the event because of the love she has for her fellow business owners.

“There are so many folks offering services here and people just don’t know about them,” she explained. “We have a limit of 20 vendors for this space, and those spots filled up quickly and we are still getting inquiries.

“This area has everything you need to have a wedding,” Taylor continued. “There is no need what so ever to go to Fort Smith or Hot Springs to plan a wedding.”

The Bridal Extravaganza will offer games, door prizes  and other fun opportunities in addition to showcasing local businesses and services for weddings and events.

“Even if you don’t have the love bug or aren’t planning a wedding, it will be a fun time and get some exposure for things offered here that many people only know abou  through word of mouth and friends.”
