Friday Night Lights back at Bearcat Stadium

Football season is finally back here in Mena as the Mena Bearcats are set to take on the De Queen Leopards on Friday night at Bearcat Stadium. The Mena sideline will look a little different this year, as the Craig Bentley era begins for the Bearcats.

Coach Bentley and his coaching staff are looking to lead the Bearcats to their win in a row over the Leopards, as Mena has taken the past two match-ups.

One player to keep your eye on this Friday for Mena is tight end Mason Brotherton. Brotherton caught 27 passes for 476 yards and 2 touchdowns last season and currently owns a few college scholarship offers. For the Leopards, senior running back Marquez Ester is a key player. Ester ran for over 700 yards last season.

Going into this Friday, the Bearcats are ranked as the #10 team in the 4A, as De Queen comes in ranked at #29 in the 5A.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00pm on Friday at Bearcat Stadium.
