Coach Dave Van Horn and the Arkansas Baseball program added a graduate transfer catcher on Friday. Robert Emery announced his commitment to the Razorbacks, transferring from the University of San Francisco.

Last season for the San Francisco Dons, Emery hit .449, with 4 doubles, 2 home runs, and 9 RBI. The year before, the backstop hit for a .320 average, adding on 5 home runs, 16 doubles, and a total of 40 RBI.

With Casey Optiz expected to be drafted in the MLB Draft next month, Emery will likely replace one of the top defensive catchers in the entire country.

Emery is the third player to join the Hogs from the transfer portal this offseason, joining Lael

Lockhart Jr. (pitcher) of Houston and Isaac Bracken (pitcher) of Northern Colorado.
