Razorbacks to host Regional

The NCAA announced on Sunday, May 26, that the University of Arkansas will be one of sixteen Regional Tournament hosts for the upcoming NCAA Regionals that are scheduled to being on Friday, May 31.

Arkansas Baseball has appeared in the NCAA Tournament in sixteen of the last seventeen years, while this is the eighth time for the Razorbacks to be a Regional host in Fayetteville.

Going into the Fayetteville Regional, the Razorbacks are ranked No. 5 in the nation for the second year in a row, with an overall record of 41-17. This season at Baum-Walker Stadium, the Hogs are 28-6.

Seeding for the Fayetteville Regional is as follows: No 1. Arkansas, No. 2 California (32-18), No. 3 TCU (32-26), No. 4 Central Connecticut State (30-21). First round games will take place on Friday, as Arkansas will take on Central Connecticut State 1 p.m., followed by California and TCU at 6 p.m.

The other 15 host universities include; Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, North Carolina, Oregon State. East Carolina, UCLA, Louisville, Texas Tech, West Virginia, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Stanford, Mississippi State, and Oklahoma State.
