Both the Mena Baseball and Softball teams ended their respective seasons with wins. Last Friday, April 26, the Mena Ladycats hosted Arkadelphia (6-17, 3-9) at Union Bank Park. After three innings, the Ladycats run-ruled the Lady Badgers 15-0, to end their regular season with a record of 5-15, while going 4-8 in conference play.
On Monday, April 29, the Mena Bearcats baseball team traveled to Hope to take on the Bobcats (4-17, 1-10). Mena opened the game with 11 runs in the top of the first inning. In the following two innings, Mena outscored the Bobcats 4-1, to take a 15-1 lead into the fourth. Hope pushed 5 runs of their own across the plate in the bottom half of the fifth, making the score 15-6, however the Bearcats went on to score 6 in the top of the seventh, to make the final score 21-6.
The Bearcats ended their regular season with a record of 6-16, while going 2-10 in conference play.
