The University of Arkansas Rich Mountain soccer program added more signees in the past week. For the men's program, the Bucks added Edward Garcia, Caleb Summerfield, and Maurice Theart. As for the women's team, Nicole Martinez signed on with UA Rich Mountain.

Nicole Martinez, a graduate of Spring Woods High School in Houston, Texas, is set to join the Bucks this Fall. Bucks Soccer Coach, Brian Byrd, commented on Martinez saying, "Nicole comes from a strong high school program in Houston. She is a leader on the field and in the locker room, and simply leads by example." Byrd added, "Nicole will be a big playmaker in the midfield for us. I am super glad for her to be a Buck, her personality will light up a room."

Edward Garcia, a goalkeeper from De Queen High School will also join the Bucks for their inaugural season. Coach Byrd said, "Edwards athleticism and reactions saves are very solid." Byrd continued, "He will come in and compete for the starting position, and make the battle very intense. He loves the game, he works hard, and we are glad to have him as a Buck."

Bucks Coach Brian Byrd found a couple of Bucks at the Dallas Cup International Tournament recently. On Maurice Theart, Byrd stated, "Maurice was one of the top 3 strikers at the prestigious tournament in Dallas, and he is going to add even more depth to a talented core of Strikers." Byrd said, "I truly believe Maurice will light up the back of the net many times this coming year for us! He is a solid player." Byrd called the signing of Theart a "big time signing" for the Bucks Soccer program.

One more athlete that was spotted by Coach Byrd at the Dallas Cup International Tournament is Caleb Summerfield. "Caleb is a solid and fast, but most importantly a highly intelligent center back," Byrd stated. "His leadership during a game is fun to watch and contagious. Caleb will bring a lot of English passion to our team, and will end up being a fan favorite I believe."
