Mena Golf wins Malvern Tournament

Last Thursday, the Mena High School Golf team placed first overall in a golf tournament at the Malvern Country Club. Austin Johnston of Mena was the low score medalist of the tournament with a score of 38. Brendon Catlett shot a 48, while Jack Hunter completed the course with a score of 54. In the girls division, Chloe Rocha of Mena shot a 57.

On Tuesday, Mena Golf traveled to Nashville to compete at the Nashville Country Club. The Mena squad finished second overall. Austin Johnston shot the lowest score for Mena with a 39, as Jack Hunter shot a 47, and Brendon Catlett a 52. Chloe Rocha shot a 66 in the girls division for Mena.

The Mena Golf team will be back in action on Thursday, September 12, at De Queen.
