Mason Brotherton, a soon-to-be junior Tight End for the Mena Bearcats, received a scholarship offer from the Mercer Bears earlier this week.
With two full seasons left in his high school football career, Brotherton has received offers from Mercer and Memphis, while he states he is gaining interest from West Virginia, TCU, Vanderbilt, Indiana, UCLA, and more.
A few weeks ago, the junior tight end showcased his abilities in a camp at UCLA. Brotherton noted that he didn't do as well a he would've liked in Los Angeles, but did much better in a more recent camp at the University of Memphis.
Going into this coming season, Brotherton stated, "It will be much different without Coach Harper on the sideline." However, Brotherton believes the Bearcats will respond well to the change, and has high expectations for the team.
