Acorn Track Competes in England

The Acorn High School track team competed in the 2A State Track Meet last Tuesday, April 30, in England, Arkansas.

In the Girls Division, Allie Strothers, Sophie Jackson, Alyssa Warren, and Ashlynn Bissell teamed up for Acorn and placed 8th in the Girls 4x800 Meter Relay with a time of 12:13.70.

In the Boys Division, Brian Kha placed 9th in the Boys Long Jump event with a leap of 19-9.

Brady Lyle, Matthew Chaney, Brady Hair, and Justice Neufeld finished 3rd for Acorn in the 4x800 Meter Relay with a time of 9:20.64.

Brian Kha, Daniel Norman, Trysten Richey, and Matthew Chaney placed 5th for the Acorn Boys in the 4x400 Meter Relay with a total time of 3:42.79.

In the Boys 800 Meter Run, Damian Bohlman came in 8th with a time of 2:21.99.

Justice Neufeld won the 3200 Meter Run State Championship with a winning time of 10:47.26. Neufeld's performance will put himself on the All-State team, and he will compete in the Meet of the Champions on Saturday, May 11, in Lake Hamilton.
