The Acorn Tigers and Lady Tigers hosted Cossatot on Tuesday evening at Acorn High School. Prior to senior high action, the Acorn Jr. Tigers defeated Cossatot 41-30.

In the senior girls contest, the Lady Eagles of Cossatot took a 12-10 lead into the second quarter. However, in the second, the Lady Tigers outscored Cossatot 11-6, to take a three-point, 21-18, lead into halftime.

Acorn took control of the game in the third quarter, as the Lady Tigers extended their lead to 39-28. Cossatot went on to lose the ballgame by nine points, 51-42.

Lexi Powell led the Lady Tigers with 14 points, as Sunshine Butterfield and Sophie Jackson chipped in 13 points a piece.

For Cossatot, Kayla Richardson and Sasha Richardson led the Lady Eagles with 9 points each.

In the finale of the night, the Acorn and Cossatot senior boys teams took the floor. The Eagles took an early lead and led 12-9 after one quarter of play. In the second quarter, both teams added on 8 points a piece, to make the score 20-17 in favor of Cossatot at the half.

Cossatot continued to hold their in the third quarter, as the Eagles took a four-point, 33-29, lead into the fourth and final quarter of play. However, in the fourth, things unraveled for the Eagles and Acorn went on to win the game by twelve points, 47-35.

Damian Bohlman led the Tigers with 18 points on the night, while Matthew Chaney added on 11 points, and Jeremiah Swint 10 points.

In scoring for Cossatot, Coy Frachiseur led the Eagles with 14 points, as Brian Strother knocked in 13.
