Mena Golf Continues Success

With two contests in five days, the Mena Golf team is off to a good start to the season. Last Thursday, August 15, Mena Golf competed at DeGray Lake. Mena placed 2nd overall with a score of 140 behind Fountain Lake (136). Austin Johnston shot a 39 and was awarded the lowest score medal. Jack Hunter (48) and Brendon Catlett (53) also competed for Mena, and on the girls side, Chloe Rocha shot a 59.

This past Monday, August 19, Mena Golf traveled to De Queen for a match. Mena Golf finished first overall, beating the Malvern Leopards by two shots. Austin Johnston was the medalist for the lowest score, and Chloe Rocha finished second in the girls division. 

Next up, Mena Golf will travel to Magellan Golf Course on Thursday, August 22.
